How to set up DKIM in Google Workspace

🛠️ Steps to Set Up DKIM in Google Workspace

Step 1: Sign in to Google Admin Console

• Go to admin.google.com
• Log in using your admin account

Step 2: Go to Gmail Settings

• From the Admin Console home page, navigate to:
  Apps → Google Workspace → Gmail → Authenticate Email

Step 3: Generate a DKIM Key

• Click Generate New Record
• Choose:
  • 1024-bit or 2048-bit key length (2048 is more secure)
  • Enter a selector prefix (e.g., google, mail, gw, etc.)
• Click Generate

Step 4: Add the DKIM Record to Your Domain’s DNS

• Copy the generated TXT record details.
• Log into your domain registrar or DNS provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare).
• Add a TXT record using:
  • Host/Name: selector._domainkey.yourdomain.com
  • Value: The DKIM public key provided by Google

🕒 DNS records may take up to 48 hours to propagate.

Step 5: Activate DKIM Signing

• Return to Admin Console → Gmail → Authenticate Email
• Click Start Authentication

🎉 Done! Google Workspace is now signing all your outgoing emails with DKIM.

• Only Super Admins can enable DKIM in Google Workspace.
